What is a Sweat Lodge ?

The Sweat Lodge is an ancient ceromony which has been used by all types of people from the Celts to the Native American Indians to harmonise with the forces of the Earth and the Sky and to bring balance and harmony into thier lives. It is a ceromony that involves the participants working together to create a sacred space together, where there are no distinctions of class, race or religion and all are welcomed to come together, to release the fears, worries and stresses of everyday living and to come into a communion with other human biengs, sharing an experience of openess, humour, release, peace and harmony.

The Sweat Lodge is also called the Inipi and consists of a Fire (symbolising the male aspect) where rocks are heated and then brought inside an Earth lodge sometimes described as an Earth Womb (symbolising the female aspect) The hot rocks are the connection between the male and female aspects, and as Water is poured upon them the people sing, pray, and connect to the Earth and Sky and to all of life and to deep within thier own bieng, to remember and connect to the  love and the beauty, the magic and the mystery that always live within us, and all around of us...............................................................................

Why should I go to a Sweat Lodge?

The Sweat lodge has been used as a sacred space for healing and rejuvination for hundreds of years and in recent times has been researched for it's ability to remove and release toxins such as heavy metals (such as lead from car fumes) as well as less harmful toxins which are in the food and products that we all use.

On a physical level it can help you to be more in touch with your body, to help release emotional pains, hurts and fears.

On a spiritual level it can help you to connect to your own source of knowing, your own inner wisdom and connection with spirit.

It is a ceromony where we come together as people learning and experiencing how it is to be a humane bieng, respecting and celebrating how different we all are and how together we can create peace, beauty and harmony.

It can connect us to our natural state of happiness, and help to show us how we can use all that happens to us, to conciously ascend in our lives, a path that we can choose to live, which connects us to our own loving and empowered, joyful way of living
